Asbury Preschool’s large fenced-in outdoor playground has an updated play structure with three kinds of slides on a bed of mulch. There are two sizable, covered sandboxes, two picnic tables and playhouses, a construction zone, a music center, and a science center perfect for imaginative play. Also available are riding toys, including tricycles and little trucks, as well as balls and other toys. In addition to the playground, fields and the walking trail on Duke University’s East Campus are also available for children to play, with parental permission.
