Asbury Preschool’s Philosophy
We believe that children learn through play and interacting with others. Opportunities to engage in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities foster children’s whole-person development: physically through rigorous indoor and outdoor play, emotionally through positive interactions with teachers and staff, cognitively through stimulating and developmentally appropriate activities, and socially through play with peers. Constructive communication between teachers, staff, and children provides a critical cornerstone for children’s self-esteem and problem-solving skills.

Our Philosophy in Action
Each week, our infants, toddlers and preschool teachers choose a learning theme for their class. Each day, children participate in a mixture of teacher-directed and child-directed activities primarily designed to explore the weekly learning theme from a variety of vantage points including art, dramatic play, music, and science. The same general routine is followed each day and offers a solid balance of nurturing, playtime, and learning.
Star Rating: Asbury Preschool
Asbury Preschool received a five-star rating in 2014. North Carolina rates child-care providers on a five-star system. Child-care ratings are based on staff education and program standards. All licensed providers must meet basic compliance history standards.
